1 Year Down

The Year, 2021

It’s been one year since 3rd Drawer Down when live on Dec. 26, 2020. Since then, there’s been just over 1,200 views (with a thankful boost to from both Will Smith and The Division community). And while that may be microscopic in the grand scheme, it’s still more than I was expecting when I originally started. It’s always surprising which post become popular, and which ones don’t. Some of the post that were easy to put together with minimal effort become some of my most popular, while ones that I put a lot more effort into (and were personally more proud of) just came and went.

The Change

While 3rd Drawer Down will not be changing, it will be slowing. Going forward there will no longer be scheduled releases for blog posts. Like the Book Reviews, they will simply be released whenever I feel like it. This is partially because I want more time to work on other things, but mostly because some of the topics i wish to cover are a little more robust, and require more time and in-depth research in order to convey things appropriately. Both of which are more long-term projects. But one thing that will be added is enabling comments for all Blog post and Book Reviews (I don’t think anyone’s ever even had the desire to leave a comment, but hey, it’s a thing now).
